UNS Purple Shiso Microgreens Rice Bowl

A vibrant and refreshing rice bowl featuring UNS Purple Shiso Microgreens for a hint of herbal and citrusy flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked jasmine or sushi rice
  • 1/2 cup UNS Purple Shiso Microgreens
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup edamame (cooked and shelled)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Method

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the dressing. Set aside.
  3. In a serving bowl, layer the cooked rice at the bottom. Arrange the cucumber slices, julienned carrot, edamame, and UNS Purple Shiso Microgreens on top.
  4. Drizzle the dressing evenly over the bowl.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture and garnish.
  6. Serve immediately, mixing the bowl before eating to enjoy all the flavors together.
