UNS Green Shisho Leaf Sushi Rolls
A creative twist on traditional sushi, these UNS Green Shisho Leaves add an aromatic, herbaceous depth to the rolls. Green shisho has a unique flavor, similar to a mix of mint, basil, and anise, making it a fantastic addition to sushi or wraps.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked and seasoned with rice vinegar
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced for creaminess
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned for crunch
  • 6 UNS Green Shisho Leaves for wrapping
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce for dipping
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Method

  1. Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat and spread a thin layer of sushi rice.
  2. Arrange avocado slices and cucumber along the bottom edge of the rice.
  3. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat and slice it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Wrap each sushi piece in a UNS Green Shisho Leaf, pressing gently so it sticks.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with soy sauce.
