A fragrant Middle Eastern-inspired rice dish infused with the delicate floral aroma of UNS Red Rose Petals and saffron.
Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons UNS Red Rose Petals
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads (soaked in 2 tbsp warm water)
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon ghee or butter
- 1/4 cup toasted almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method
- Rinse the rice and soak it for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat ghee/butter, then sauté UNS Red Rose Petals and cinnamon.
- Add the drained rice, saffron water, broth, and salt.
- Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until fluffy.
- Garnish with toasted almonds and extra rose petals before serving.
