UNS Farms Expands its Range of Edible Flowers

UNS Farms, the UAE's leading vertical farming pioneer since 2018 and a subsidiary of the Speedex Group, has announced the expansion of its edible floral range with the launch of the new UNS variegated floral collection. This comes at a time when edible flowers are increasingly gaining traction as a prominent ingredient in modern culinary trends, thanks to their bold flavours, attractive colours and many health benefits. The new collection includes a variety of delicious flowers, which can be enjoyed or added to salads and desserts to enhance their taste.

Rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and essential minerals, including magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium, these edible flowers give dishes a unique look, as well as adding delicious flavors and health benefits that make them a suitable addition to various dishes. Established in 2018 in Dubai's Al Quoz area, UNS Farms reflects its commitment to providing fresh ingredients and adopting sustainability and innovation. The farm's mission is to provide fresh ingredients through locally grown, chemical-free produce, delivered within 48 hours of picking.

Mehlam Murtaza, Executive Director of UNS Farms, said: "Our edible flower collections highlight the goodness of nature, as everyone can benefit from the distinctive flowers. Adding our flowers to everyday meals provides a distinctive touch of unique colours and flavours, as well as the outstanding health benefits they offer."

The new variety of flowers reflects the beauty of nature's goodness with its fresh taste and vibrant colours, and adds a unique touch to everyday dishes. The farms rely on advanced hydroponics methods, ensuring that fresh, flavourful flowers are sustainably produced.
Standing out among the flowers of the collection, UNS Tart Herb stands out among the flowers of the collection, making the perfect addition to mouthwatering dishes and refreshing mocktails. UNS red rose petals are distinguished by their soft fragrance and add a sophisticated touch to desserts, savory dishes and beverages.

UNS pansy flowers in their vibrant colors provide a mild sweet taste, making the perfect addition to salads or desserts. The violet blossoms from UNS give dishes a sweet, calm flavor that they love to add to a variety of dishes.

UNS carnations are the perfect choice for lovers of bold and aromatic flavors, adding a touch of sweet and savory cuisine. For a refreshing twist, UNS blue star-shaped borage blossoms offer a cucumber-like flavor, an excellent addition to light salads and an ideal choice for garnishing various dishes.

The new collection also includes other diverse flowers, including alice flowers, which have a calming fragrance suitable for savory recipes and desserts, and marigolds, which accentuate their bright yellow color and pepper-like flavor. While the flowers of the Aqliss provide sour flavors that bring a refreshing touch to dishes, the flowers of the eye add bold peppery flavors, making them the perfect addition to salads and other recipes.
Each flower in UNS Jadida Floral Variety is unique in its distinctive flavors, transforming simple dishes into masterpieces and adding them to a variety of food and beverage varieties.
